A few reminders...

A couple friendly reminders for this week:
Please have your son or daughter bring in a wrapped book for our book exchange. A few of the students have already and that is just fine! We will be doing this during our party on Friday. A girl buys for a girl, and a boy for a boy. Please be sure to have their name on the gift.

Also- Thursday please have your son or daughter wear PDC Blackhawk apparel to show support for our safe community.

In charge of snacks for Friday:
Gabriel- sweet treat
Westin- salty snack
Makenzie- Cheese and Crackers
Charles- Sausage (for the crackers)

Last, but not least, with it snowing again and the forecast for this week please be sure to send boots and snow pants with your child! :)

Candy Canes

The students finger painted candy canes to make a special project for mom and dad. They glued the candy canes together to make a heart, and put a nice poem inside.

Two striped candy canes,
As simple as can be,
Together make a heart
That sends love to you from me!

Food 4 Thought

Today's Food 4 Thought was all about cranberries. The students learned how they are made, and they also got to try a craisin, cranberry juice, and a sour cranberry if they wanted. They really enjoyed the crainsins and cranberry juice!

They told us that cranberries are good for our heart!

They loved the cranberry juice!

Gabriel was giving two thumbs up for the cranberry juice and craisins. :)

Westin was not so sure about the sour cranberry.

Wyatt liked the sour one; Westin and Shyla were not a fan.

Makenzie counting to the number 10.

Westin counting to 7.

Gabriel counting his 6 marshmallows.

Lillian was checking to see she had 5 marshmallows on her number 5 card.

December 3-7

This week our theme is the Gingerbread man. We did some measuring around the room today using gingerbread men, and also colored our own gingerbread girl or boy. We will be reading the story of the Gingerbread man and sequencing the story. We will size our gingerbread men from smallest to biggest.

Coloring our gingerbread girl and/or boy.

Measuring with gingerbread men.

The students colored and cut out a small, medium, and big gingerbread. Then they put them in order from smallest to biggest.

Happy Holidays from 4K!

We have been decorating our room for Christmas! The students colored and cut out stockings all by themselves. They did such a great job.

I also spent some time decorating our door! The Christmas ornaments have the students' pictures on them.
