Apple Week!

Yesterday, we did our apple tasting! Thank you so much to all of the parents who brought in apples. The children each tried a slice of a red, green and yellow apple. Then they colored their apple the color they liked the best and we graphed them!

Onyx loved the yellow apple!

Bentley thought the green was too sour!

Red and yellow were the favorites, only 1 friend liked green the best!

All About Apples!

This week is all about apples! We are also doing the /a/ sound this week and it goes great with our theme.

They worked on sorting uppercase and lowercase a's.

They worked hard on coloring their apple trees.

Today they put the letters of their name in order on their tree. Each apple had a letter on it. They did great!

A is for Alligator!

Last week we finished up our colors unit! We made bears for  brown day and elephants for grey day. They are getting great at cutting!

This week we started our Jolly Phonics program! We have been talking about the s sound. Today, they made a snake out of the letter S.    They also used shape stamps to stamp pink ink on their pig for pink day!

Our Favorite Colors!

As an at home project, the children chose their favorite color and cut out pictures of that color to glue on a piece of paper. It was so neat to see what color they chose!

We have them hanging in our room for everyone to see!
