CK Sound

Our sound this week is /ck/. We made both a cloud and a kite! We also came up with many words that begin with our sound. 

Pattern Block Puzzles

We got out the pattern blocks again today. They love matching the shapes on the cards to make a picture. They are getting really good at remembering what each shape is called! 

Sizing Pumpkins!

They put pumpkins in order from smallest to biggest! 

N is for Numbers!

Today, we learned a new song - "The Ants go Marching..." and we counted to the number ten. Then the children practiced tracing their numbers 1-10. They cut them out and glued them on the letter N that they also cut out to go along with our /n/ sound this week! 

We have been talking a lot about AB patterns the last few weeks. Today, we did a leaf pattern sheet to go along with our leaf color book. They did a great job and love to make their own patterns during choice time!

Today, we made our p craft! This week we are learning the /p/ sound.

P is for Piano! 

We had some friends in our class bring in some fall things for us to explore! We looked at leaves, acorns, pinecones, and walnuts through magnifying glasses! They really enjoyed it. 

We worked on our fine motor skills by stringing pattern beads onto a shoe lace. They had to follow the shapes on the card; they did a super job!
