Yellow Day!

Wednesday: Yellow Day! 

We learned a song all about yellow. We also made a list of yellow items and painted a yellow sun. They loved painting!!

Orange!

Tuesday was Orange day! Everyone in our class wore something orange; it was so cool! We learned a new orange song, made a list of orange things, and glued orange tissue paper on a pumpkin.

Projects from our first week in 4K!

We talked about the things we will learn at school- colors, numbers & shapes!

We practiced drawing pictures of ourselves!

We did small group work and worked on sorting shapes and colors! 

On Friday, we got out our journals and drew pictures of what our favorite thing about 4k was so far. A lot of us said playing with play-doh and library!

Red Apples!

This week we are talking all about colors! Today was the color red. The students tore red paper and glued them on their apple. For many of them it was their first time using glue sticks! They did a great job! Check out some of their work. :)

Today, the students had a great time exploring pattern blocks and making simple pictures. We also had time to get out some play-doh and some fun peg board games. The games helped us to match both shapes and colors! 

Welcome to 4K!

We had a great first day in 4K yesterday! We are working hard on following the rules both in our classroom and outside on the playground. 

Next week we will be talking about colors!
